Tutorial center gets thumbs up

Dear Editor,

I am writing you in regards to the article “Tutorial centers offer help for struggling students.”

I was very happy to see that the tutorial services were being brought to the attention of every student who reads the paper.

I think these tutors are the saving grace for many students who have fallen behind. Also, it's nice to know that they are there just in case a student wants to clear up any questions they may have with a particular subject.

I have no doubt if I had not attended these sessions, I would not have been able to make A's in my science classes.

I think all students should take advantage of the tutorial services. It definitely helps to have the advice of someone who has already been through the class!

Just a small fee

Dear Editor,

I wanted to praise the article concerning student activity fees. I personally did not know exactly what the $30 student activity fee covered. I just assumed it was just another fee students had to pay.

The editor did a great job informing the audience of what the fees covered as well as encouraging us to get our money's worth. I totally agree with her.

Students should not complain about the small fee we have to pay to benefit our college experience.

I am very thankful for the article and will make a point to participate in more campus events.

Latson inspires

Dear Editor,

Deanna Latson, the speaker GHC had in March, was awesome. I attended the meeting to hear what advice the health educator could give about nutrition.

She informed me of facts I was not aware of and really made me think about long term health goals. She reinforced that it is important to make changes early because as we get older our chances of developing health problems increase.

She motivated me to want to eat healthier and try new foods.

Love enough to protect

Dear Editor,

I am writing you regarding the article “Do you think you have an STD?” by Jehna Holder.

Young adults who are having any type of sexual intercourse should want to know if they are at risk for any type of infection. People should realize that when having intercourse, you are not only putting yourself at risk but your partner as well.

If someone says that they “love you” then they should “love you” enough to protect you. In order to protect you, they have to see about themselves first.People should get tested for themselves, the one they love, and the world around them.
