Tips for Teachers

  • Don't erase the marker board with your hand and then touch your face because then the marker is all over you.
  • Encourage a student in or outside of class especially if they are one of the rebellious or slacker students.
  • Don't have a late policy if you are going to be late.
  • Don't, or at least try not to, gossip about the students or teachers because you never know who is listening or who doesn't keep their mouth shut.
  • Don't wait till the last minute to call in sick some students don't care and some students doespecially if yours is their only class.

Tips for Students

  • When coming up with an excuse, try not to kill off more than four grandparents per semester.
  • Know why you are at college and realize that this isn't high school anymore keep your grades up and focus on your major.
  • Don't come to class unprepared... teachers don't like teaching to the bricks on the wall.
  • Remember, sitting on the back row doesn't make you invisible and learn your teacher's name how hard can it be?
  • Meet with your professors because it is crucial for the two of you to know each other. Then the teacher can see what type of student you are and how to help you.
