Georgia Highlands College’s Marietta site will remain located on the Southern Polytechnic University campus for at least three more years. Improvements and additions to classroom and office space are expected.
According to Rob Watts, GHC’s interim president, “SPSU and GHC have signed a three-year extension of the Memorandum of Understanding. This means that GHC will remain on the SPSU campus for at least another three years.”
Enrollment has been growing at the GHC Marietta campus, with the number of enrolled students reaching more than 1,100 this year. This rise in enrollment has led to a need for not only more classroom space but more office space for faculty and staff as well. Watts said that SPSU is identifying some additional office and classroom space to meet the additional demands.
