The photo was taken of the winner of the 2013 Turkey Walk, an event that happens every fall semester on the Floyd campus.

Zavala said he is “honored” his work is being recognized. He said, “It was a thrilling surprise to know that the photo has made it into the contest.”

Zavala also said that he personally thought the photo was good but did not think it would actually make it to the ACP finals. He said that the competitors’ photos look very good and that it should turn out to be a good competition.

Zavala is currently attending classes at Georgia State University.
