The Cartersville campus now holds a free meditation class.
This class is held on Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Scott Ragsdale Ph.D., licensed professional counselor and practicing psychotherapist and meditation leader, leads this class that is open to students, faculty and staff on the second floor in the gym.
According to Dorothy Morgan, licensed professional counselor and student success counselor in Cartersville, there is research that shows that meditation helps with managing stress and anxiety.
Morgan states, “Meditation helps with relaxation and focus” and highly recommends it for students with the test anxiety. Finals are right around the corner, so this class will be highly beneficial to deal with the end of semester stress.

This class sounds awesome! I wish it was offered at Floyd campus, though. It would be beneficial to me and others I know.
