The GHC Chargers finished their regular season with a win, defeating Gordon State College 89-65. Doniel Dean and Tylik Evans both ended the game with 16 points each.
Phil Gaffney was named GCAA’s Division I coach of the year, while Doniel Dean was named defensive player of the year and Tylik Evans was named freshman of the year.
The GHC Chargers were undefeated in GCAA conference play, which hasn’t happened since the 01-02 season.
The Chargers will play in the GCAA quarterfinals at home on Tuesday, March 1. Tip off is 7:30 p.m.
