University System of Georgia Chancellor Hank M. Huckaby has asked the Board of Regents for approval of the consolidation of Kennesaw State University and Southern Polytechnic State University. Georgia Highlands Marietta site is located on the SPSU campus.
Renva Watterson, interim president of GHC, stated in an email to faculty and staff that she expects “there will be no change in our day-to-day operations in Marietta.”
Ken Reaves, dean of the GHC Marietta campus, said, “We’re looking forward to continuing our relationship with SPSU and KSU.”
The Regents will likely vote on this issue Nov. 12 and 13.
