New overnight trip requirements added, festival volunteers needed

Abby Chesnut

On Nov 30, volunteers are needed to help assist the Chargers Cheerleading Squad as they have been invited by the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce to perform at the Marietta Festival of Trees and Christmas Lighting from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., in the Marietta Square.

For those who are interested, please email [email protected] for more information on how to get involved.

As preparation for spring semester begins, student engagement leaders are looking to revamp student orientation and requirements for overnight student club trips.

With enrollment increasing, leaders want to make sure that incoming or returning students are informed of all their academic and engagement resources when they attend student orientation.

Overnight trips are a productive way for student clubs and organizations to connect with others and help build their mission.

Student clubs and organizations planning to take overnight trips next semester must submit an overnight trip request form to Student Engagement Coordinator, Clifton Puckett.

This form will help leaders to understand what are the goals of purposes of trips and how they can affect the growth of student clubs and organizations in the future.
