Georgia Highlands College’s women’s basketball team hosted the GHC Thanksgiving Classic on Friday, Nov. 25 and Saturday, Nov. 26 at the Floyd campus gym. The 22nd ranked Lady Chargers played on both days.
The women lost to the 1st ranked Gulf Coast State College Lady Commodores on Nov. 25. The Lady Commodores are last year’s NJCAA national champions. Pam Diokpara led the Lady Chargers with 15 points and 12 rebounds.
GHC then fell to Northwest Florida State College 67-52 for their second game of the GHC Thanksgiving Classic on Nov. 26. D’Andra Pringle led the Lady Chargers with 21 points.
The Lady Chargers are now 3-6 for the season. Their next home game is on Tuesday, Dec. 6 against Lawson State Community College at 5:30 p.m.
