Georgia Highlands honored by University system

Georgia Highlands College, under President Don Green’s leadership, won the silver award for outstanding institution of the year and president at the 2016 Chancellor’s annual service excellence awards ceremony.

The chancellor’s service awards recognize individuals, groups and institutions who have demonstrated outstanding service to the University System of Georgia. Georgia Highlands placed 2nd competing with 30 other colleges in this category.

Highlands was also awarded 1st in Library and college testing as well as the quality matters initiative. Vice President of Human Resources Ginni Siler placed 3rd for the service excellent and outstanding leader award.

This event was held at Georgia College in Milledgeville on Tuesday, Oct 25.
